Involved in research leading to (i). Identification of neon in solar energetic particles having an isotopic composition distinct from Solar Wind as well as as 'Planetary'. (ii). Estimation of surface exposure ages of lunar soils and rocks on lunar surface. (iii). Double copping practice in Kuchchh (Gujarat, India) as early as over 4 thousand years ago. (iv). Delineation of climatic changes during the past 30 thousand years or so based on analyses and dating of sediments from the North Eastern India and Uttarakhand. (v). Deciphering flooding histories of river islands (vi). Setting up elemental analyser, scintillation counter labs. Field experience in Vindhyans, Coral islands, Deccan traps and inter-trappean, North-Eastern India, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand etc.
In the first ever live telecasts of naural events like Total Solar Eclipse and Venus Transit, gave live commentaries. Played a major role in promoting science communication through popularisation, training and organisation. Convener of the first National Children's Science Congress in UP. Also organised many science conferences etc.
Research papers dealing with palaeoclimate, archaeology and isotopic structures in journals like ApJ, GCA and JGR suppl., Quat Intl., GRL, Curr. Sci., Nat. Quite wildly traveled: India, USA, Russia, UK, Germany, SA, France, Vietnam and Switzerland. Can teach across ages/ disciplines and backgrounds successfully. A good motivator.
