Graduated from Kokkan-ka (Japanese and Chinese Literature Department) of Waseda University (1914).
Career
Became lecturer of Koshi-bu (Higher Normal School Department) of Waseda University and professor of Dai-ni Koto Gakuin (2nd Higher School Department) (1922) and then became professor of Department of Education of Waseda University (since 1929) and dean of Koto Gakuin (Higher School Department) of the same university.
