Woetzel, Damian Abdo was born on May 17, 1967 in Newton, Massachusetts, United States. Son of Robert Kurt and Sheila Marilyn (Barry) Woetzel.

Education

Graduated from the high school, Holllywood, California, 1983.

Career

Principal dancer Los Angeles Ballet, 1983-1985. Member corps de ballet New York City Ballet, 1985-1988, soloist, then principal dancer, since 1989. Director ballet program New York State Summer School for the Arts, Saratoga Springs, New York, since 1994.

Dancer, choreographer New York City Opera, 1994-1995. Member President Barack Obama's Committee on Arts and Humanities, 2009.
