Deanna Marohn Bendix graduated feom Hamline University with Bachelor of Arts degree in 1960. She attended Minneapolis College of Art and Design in 1965 and 1968. Mrs. Brendix finished Mankato State University with the degree of Master of Arts in 1971. She also attended Carleton College, Northfield, MN, in 1977. In 1992 Mrs. Brendix became a graduate of University of Minnesota, Twin Cities, receiving her Doctor of Philosophy degree.
Deanna Bendix held the post of a photojournalist and arts and education reporter for Waseca Daily Journal, Waseca, MN, from 1971 to 1978. In 1977 and 1980 she was appointed instructor at University of Minnesota, Waseca. Mrs. Bendix was an art historian, researcher, lecturer, artist, and writer between 1989 and 1996. She took the position of an instructor at Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Minneapolis, MN, since 1997.
She was also a contributor to periodicals, including Apollo and Twin Cities.
