Deborah Britt Roebuck studied at Missouri Baptist College (now Missouri Baptist University), where she received an Associate of Arts degree in 1972. Deborah got a Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts from Northeast Missouri State University (nowadays Truman State University). She also holds a Doctor of Philosophy from Georgia State University.
Deborah Britt Roebuck worked in service, manufacturing, and public sector environments across a broad range of industries. In 1979 Deborah was appointed at Northeast Missouri State University (Truman State University) as an instructor in business. In a year she became an instructor in business administration at Iowa Central Community College. From 1982 to 1984 she worked as an instructor in administrative services at William Rainey Harper College and from 1984 to 1985 was an instructor in business at Phillips College. She served as Executive Director of the Siegel Institute for Leadership, Ethics, and Character.
Roebuck joined the staff of Kennesaw State University in 1986 and served as a Professor of Management and Chair of the Department of Leadership and Professional Development, as well as Director of Programming for the Executive MBA Programs.
Deborah currently serves as Publication Chair for the Publication Board of the Association for Business Communication. She has also served as Chair of the MBA Special Interest Group and as Conference Chair of the ABC Southeastern Regional Conference in 2011.
Deborah Britt Roebuck is a member of the American Society of Training and Development, Organizational Behavior Teaching Society, Academy of Business Education, Association for Business Communication, Family Firm Institute, Professional Graduate Society in Business Education, EMBA Council, Southern Management Association and Delta Pi Epsilon.
