Mr. Statham was born in Chico, California, United States, on January 25, 1963. He is a son of E. Robert and Mary T. Statham.
E. Robert Statham Jr. finished his studies at Brigham Young University, earning Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987. In 1989 he received Master of Arts from California State University, Sacramento. Mr. Statham graduated from University of Nevada, from which he obtained his Doctor of Philosophy in 1993.
From 1990 to 1992 Mr. Statham served as an instructor in political science at College of St. Francis, Joliet, IL. Between 1992 and 1993 he held the post of an instructor in political science at University of Nevada, Reno. He acted as an assistant professor of political science at South Georgia College, Douglas, in 1993-1994. In 1994 Mr. Statham was appointed assistant professor of political science at University of Guam, Mangilao.
