Edward Kilner

Edward was born on July 22, 1878, in Huddersfield, Kirklees, United Kingdom.

Education

He received his education at Huddersfield Technical School.

Career

In 1902 he was appointed in England to position of health inspector to the Shanghai Municipal Council. Sometime he was also a sanitary inspector at Huddersfield, later in Stockport in England. He was working at Volunteer Corporation Service "B" for 10 years. He worked through outbreaks of Plague, smallpox and scarlet-fever in Shanghai. He was an inspector of meat and foods.
