Egor Mikhailovich graduated from the faculty of woodworking technology of the Voronezh Forestry Institute. Since 1974, he is an engineer, junior researcher, then a senior researcher at the All-Union Research Institute of Woodworking Industry in the town of Balabanovo, Kaluga Region. Since 1982, Egor Mikhailovich is an associate professor, then a professor, head (since 1992) of the Department of Mechanical Wood Technology of the Voronezh Forestry Institute (now Voronezh State Forestry Engineering Academy).
Now Egor Mikhailovich is a head of research in the field of improving the design and technology of glued materials and wood-based panels, the problems of reducing their toxicity and increasing strength.
