Graduated from the Mariinskii Theatre School, Petersburg, 1909. Pupil of M. Fokin.
Career
Appeared in Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes in 1910. Showed a dramatic and expressive element in her mature work. Leading roles in Fokin’s productions.
Returned to Russia. Left the stage in 1941. Taught 1953-1965.
