Elena Danilovna graduated from Moscow library Institute (1956).
Career
Elena Danilovna Medveditsyna worked in the library of the House of naval officers (the city of Baltiysk of the Kaliningrad region, 1956-1961). Methodologist (1961-1963, 1991-2001), deputy director for research (1963-1984), director (1984-1991) of the Voronezh regional universal scientific library named after I.S. Nikitin.
Under the leadership of Elena Danilovna the regional library and libraries of the Voronezh region participated in the centralized and regional scientific research in the field of library science and bibliography. She supported the initiative of local scientists to create a set of scientific subsidiary bibliographic manuals. She studied the history of the Voronezh regional universal scientific library named after I.S. Nikitin and the development of library business in the region.
Elena Danilovna is an editor and a compiler of several methodological, informational and bibliographic publications, including literature indexes dedicated to Ivan Savvich Nikitin (Voronezh, 1974, 1977).
