Education
She graduated from Kyoto University in 1910 where she studied history, she specializes in the study of old manners and customs.
Career
She was the Director of the Customs and Manners Research Institute, and instructor at the Kyoto Fine Arts School, Ritsumeikan University, Kansei University, Hiroshima College of Literature and Science and professor at the Kyoto Women’s College and instructor at the Nara Women's College. She wrote books on old Japanese customs and manners, dresses and ornaments, etc.
