Fedor Tarasov studied at the Rossoshansky Poultry College from 1939 to 1940. In 1951, he graduated from Ostrogozhsk Pedagogical College and the Faculty of History at Voronezh State University in 1960.
Fedor Tarasov worked in the oil fields in Baku from 1940 to 1943. He fought in the Red Army since 1943, where he was commander of a reconnaissance platoon and guard. When Sergeant Fedor Tarasov broke through the enemy’s defenses on the 15th of January, 1945, he was one of the first to break into the bridge over the Pilitsa River, near the settlement of Michalow Górny (Poland), and prevented the bridge from exploding. Since 1946 he was the head of the general department of the district party committee, the district house of party education in the village of Veidelevka, Belgorod Region. Since 1986 he is the director of the Veidelevsky Museum of Local Lore.
