Career
His main infuences are the Medieval, Italian, Eastern European and Middle Eastern music At the age of 14 he began to learn in the Conservatorio di San Pietro a Majella of Naples. Between 1989 and 1995 he was an active live musician as a soloist and with a clarinet trio, what split up later, in 1998.
During this era, he founded G.O.R. in 1992.
Usually he plays every instrument on its releases, but plays concerts with guest musicians. G.O.R. produced many albums and appeared in numerous compilations.
Francesco played with Ataraxia between 1999 and 2003, mainly as percussionist and singer, but he played winds as well. He founded Mescla with Davide della Monica also in 1999, to play Mediterranean and Eastern European folk music as street musicians.
From 2010 Francesco perform with Louisiana Scala Philharmonic Orchestraand in 2012 he was with The Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra, actually he works as freelance with the British Broadcasting Corporation Orchestra.
He commenced his research in 2010 designing and experiences, students learning and engagement, creating various connections with the learners the faculty and the community. In 2015 Francesco presented his research at New York University, Steinhardt (IMPACT ), during the 2016 Francesco will present his research at Drew University (Transatlantic conference) Ireland and International Society for Music Education (International Society for Music Education ) Scotland. Actually, he is studying the relation between different curriculum and work on improving the traditional methodology to inspire, motivate and develop the creativity in the students and teachers.
He has written three film scores: Honey (2003), Ramallah (2005), and Sur (2005).
