Francine received her A.B. (cum laude) at Syracuse University, M.A. at McMaster University and Ph.D. from Claremont Graduate School.
Professor Friedman teaches international relations, Russian and East European politics. Dr Friedman teaches courses in International Relations, Russian Politics, Ethnic Conflict, and Terrorism. Dr. Friedman is also the Director for the Jewish Studies program.
In 1977 Francine married a neurophysiologist Richard N. Friedman. They have three children: David, Danielle, Jonathan.
