Career
Mr. Francois Pérol has been the Chief Executive Officer of Groupe BPCE since March 2, 2009 and serves as its Chairman of the Board/President of the Management Board since March 2009. Mr. Pérol has been the Chief Executive Officer at Groupe Banques Populaire since February 25, 2009 and also serves as its President of the Management Board. Mr. Pérol served as the Chairman of the Management Board at Caisse Nationale des Caisses d'Epargne et de Prévoyance (now CE Participations) of Natixis since March 2, 2009 and also served as a Member of its Management Board. Mr. Pérol served as a Director General of the Treasury and Economic Policy of Tommaso Padoa-Schioppa. He served as the Chairman of the Management Board at Groupe Caisse d'Epargne, SA since March 2, 2009. He started his career in 1990 as an Auditor in the Inspection Générale des Finances and since 1994, he served as Deputy Secretary General of the Interdepartmental Commission for Industrial Restructuring. In 1996, he moved to the French Treasury Department to assume responsibility as the Head of the Financial Markets Office. From 1999 to 2001, he was Secretary General of the Paris Club, responsible for international negotiations with debtor countries. Since 2001, he served as Assistant Director responsible for business financing and development in the French Treasury Department before being appointed Deputy Principal Private Secretary to Francis Mer, French Economy, Finance, and Industry Minister and served in that role until 2004. Since 2005, he was a General Partner/Managing Partner of the investment bank Rothschild & Cie. Since May 2007, he served as Deputy Secretary General/Deputy Chief of Staff to the President of the French Republic. He served as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board for Natixis of Groupe BPCE since March 10, 2009. He has been a Director of CNP Assurances SA since April 21, 2009. He is the Vice Chairman of the French Banking Federation. Mr. Pérol is the Chairman of the IMFC. Mr. Pérol graduated from the HEC School of Business Administration, the Paris Institute of Political Science and the Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA) school for high-flying civil servants.
