Part owner E. Oregonian, Pendleton, 1901-1905. General manager Pacific Monthly Magazine, Portland, 1905-1910. Editorial writer, columnist Oregon Journal, since 1911.

With American Expeditionary Force, November 1917 till Armistice. Was war correspondent Oregon Journal, also wrote for Paris edit. New York Herald, and Stars and Stripes.

Young Men’s Christian Association secretary charge front line work, at Abbeville, Amiens, etc., on British front.
