Graduated from T5hoku University (1924).
Career
He became instructor of the Tokyo Higher Normal School and then professor. Appointed instructor of Tokyo Bunri (Literature and Science) University (1928). Received a doctorate (1938). Appointed professor of the university (1942), and following the reformation of school system, appointed professor of the Tokyo Education University (1948). Announced many research articles on the palaezoic stratum of Japan. Is engaged in research of the basic rock of Hida area (central part of Japan) and is achieving successful results. Chairman of the Japan Physical Geography Research Association.
