He graduated from the Tokyo Fine Art School (1910) and went to France in 1913 where he stayed for about 20 years and achieved worldwide renown.
Career
His pictures of cats are especially famous. After the war, he went to the United States, thence to France where he plans to live permanently. France and Belgium conferred medals on him.
