Funaoka Seigo was born in Nara Prefecture in 1890.
Funaoka Seigo graduated from Kyoto University (1914). Later in 1921 Received the doctorate degree.
Funaoka Seigo Appointed professor of the above university (1923). Studied the anatomy of the peripheral nervous system and various problems regarding lymphatic vessels and lymph. Also studied on tuberculosis and invented a medicine called “Yatokonin” .
Wrote a book “Organism”,which was an authoritative booic in this field. After the war, resigned from Kyoto University, and at present in professor of the Gifu Prefectural Medical College and emeritus professor of Kyoto University.
