Dickson Whisnant entered the practice of law as a sole practitioner in 1938 and later formed a partnership with Mr. B.F. Williams with whom he worked until Mr.
William"s death. In 1977, Mr. Whisnant joined with George C. "Bud" Simmons in practice.
In 1979, Fred Doctorate. Pike was associated with the firm.
In 1980, the firm Whisnant, Simmons and Groome was formed when H. Houston Groome, Junior joined the firm after having practiced with Ted G. West for 13 years. Carroll Doctorate. Tuttle joined Whisnant, Simmons and Groome in 1985 following 8 years of practice with the firm of Tuttle and Thomas and thereafter several years as a sole practitioner. Mr. Whisnant and Mr. Simmons are deceased.
