Gary Steven Robertshaw

Career

Gary Robertshaw is an entrepreneur, astronomer, environmentalist and academic. With a background in data analytics, his early career was spent managing data, building databases, creating predictive models and carrying out statistical analyses within the commercial sector. Later, he led a team which built and launched one of the UK’s first transactional insurance websites during the .com boom. He went on to successfully launch a number of companies in the education and technology sectors, whilst continuing to work in academia as a journal reviewer, visiting lecturer and postgraduate supervisor at several UK universities. He has published papers in a range of peer-reviewed business and scientific journals, and his research has been used in a number of books and university courses. Dr Robertshaw is a Fellow of the Institute of Data and Marketing, Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society and Fellow of the British Interplanetary Society. He is a founder and director at Scio Learning & Research based in York (UK).
