Gennady Garayevich graduated from the Perm Choreographic School (1959, teacher Y. Plakht, K.A. Esaulova), the choreographer department of the A.V. Lunacharsky (1971, the course of Professor A.V. Shatin).
Gennady Garayevich danced in Perm, Moscow, Voronezh Opera and Ballet Theater (1965-1967). Major parties: Per-Gunt ("Per-Gunt" by Edvard Grieg), Abderakhman ("Raymonda" Alexander Glazunov), Basile and Espado ("Don Quixote" Ludwig Minkus), Hans ("Giselle" Adolf Adan), Giray ("Bahchisarai fountain" Boris Asafiev) and others.
