Gennadyi graduated from the Voronezh State Institute of Arts in 1989 (the course of V.V. Bugrov). In 2001 he graduated from the Directing Department of Boris Shchukin Theatre Institute in Moscow.
In 1989-1990 Gennadyi worked as an actor in Lipetsk Drama Theater and in 1990-2000 in Kaliningrad Drama Theater. Gennadyi Vladimirovich created a private theatre company in Kaliningrad. In the Tilsit-Theater he put up Everything in the Garden by Edward Albee. Since 2002 he has been the artistic director of the Lipetsk Municipal Theater, where he staged Alexander Ostrovsky's "Money to Burn", "Retro" by Alexander Galin, "Love" by Candlelight (after Nadezhda Ptushkina's play "While She Was Dying"), Grigory Gorin's "Plague on Both Your Houses" and others.
Among his main roles are Zhadov, Vasilkov and Murzavetskyi ("A Profitable Position", "Money to Burn and Wolves" and "Sheep" by Alexander Ostrovsky"), Bobchinsky ("The Inspector General" by Nikolai Gogol), Lord Goring ("An Ideal Husband" by Oscar Wilde), Platonov ("Fatherless" by Anton Chekhov). In 2005-2008 he staged several performances on the stage of the Voronezh Drama Theater.
