Petkevich George Boleslavovich was born on September 8, 1873 in the estate of Lyudvikovo in Novo-Aleksandrovsky district, Kovno province, Russian Empire (nowadays Russian Federation )in a noble family. Since 1917 he lived in Leningrad, was arrested several times. He was unreasonably repressed and shot.
He graduated from the Alexander Lyceum (1895).
Official of the Senate's 2nd Department Office (1895-1897). Peace mediator (1897-1898), honorary judge of peace of Novo-Aleksandrovskiy district, Kovno province (1898-1901). The leader of the nobility of Novo-Alexander district (1902-1906). Penza (1906-1908) and Kazan (1908-1914) vice-governor. Voronezh Governor (1914-1915). In February 1915, Petkevich was vested rights of the Voronezh province's chief commander. Director of the Department of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Public Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (1915-1916). In 1937 he was in charge of the Nikolsky Cathedral's household.
Petkevich made efforts to implement the "Prohibition" (or "no alcohol law"; introduced after Russia entered World War I), also tried to regulate food prices.
He was married and had a daughter.
