Since righteousness is demanded of God, one needs to know how to receive it. It is received through faith. It is having faith in God.


The state cannot control the church, nor should the church attempt to dominate the state. However, religious expression should be present in public life.


The strong feature of Methodism is the role of local people take for the fabric of church buildings and manses and for the handling of money. They share with ordained ministers the role of setting direction for the churches in a particular area or 'circuit'.
