In 1916-1918, Georgi Nikolaevich Liodt worked as an engineer land surveyor in Voronezh. Since 1918, an assistant and then senior assistant at the department of land administration of Voronezh Agricultural Institute (now Voronezh State Agricultural University). In 1930-1933, an assistant professor at the department of geodesy in Voronezh Land Administration Institute. Since 1933, a professor, head of the department of geodesy in Voronezh Agricultural Institute (now Voronezh State Agricultural University). At the same time in 1940-1952, he was the head of the department of cartography and geodesy in Voronezh State University.
