He graduated from Tohoku University (1919).
Career
After serving as assistant professor of the Tohoku University, he was appointed professor of Science Department (1930). He received a degree in science in 1938. Harusada Suginome was appointed director of Science Department of Hokkaido University (1950); elected president of the university (1954).
He announced such outstanding research articles as "A Study of Alkaloid of Acotinum Japonicum Family" and "Study of Carotinoid." Harusada Suginome received the Hattori Hokokai Prize (1925) and the Japan Chemical Society Prize (1926) and wrote books "Cyanide" and "Nitro Compound."
