Yuki Harutomo was born in 1534. He was the son of Takatomo Koyama. Original personal name: Shichiro.
Harutomo Yuki was created castellan of Yuki Castle (1559). Later after defeating Ujiharu Oda, Lord of Oda, Hitachi (Ibaraki Prefecture), he acquired more territory. Fought for Hideyoshi Toyotomi with distinction in the Battle of Odawara (1590).
Later with the permission of Hideyoshi he appointed Hideyasu, the son of Ieyasu Tokugawa, his heir and after bestowing upon him a fief of 100000 of rice retired from public life. Late in life he accompanied Hideycshi to Echizen (Fukui Prefecture) (1600).
Harutomo Yuki was the son-in-law of Masakatsu Yuki.
