(Great economics book!)
I have started research on such diverse subjects as income distribution in the Union of the Soviet Socialist Republics, methodological aspects of monetary analysis, and estimating national income of the Netherlands in the nineteenth century. Since the mid 1950s, I have concentrated my activities on problems of developing countries, in particular the national and international planning aspects: macro planning models, education planning, economic co-operation among developing countries, and appraisal of foreign direct investment. More recently, my interest has shifted to international trade, financial and monetary aspects
of the North-South relations.
Also, since 1965 I have kept an interest in East-European economics.
