Faculty University of Virginia Medical School, 1922, became professor internal medicine, 1937, now professor emeritus, acting head department internal medicine, 1942-1949, assistant dean, 1942-1958, consultant medicine University of Virginia Hospital.

Active practice internal medicine.

Research diseases of metabolism, Wurzburg, Germany, and Copenhagen, Denmark, also visited various clinics in Europe, 1927-1928.
