He graduated from Tokyo University, Philology Faculty (1909). He studied in Europe (1922-1924).
Career
He served as professor of Keio University, professor of Kyoto University, instructor of Doshisha University (1920). He became professor of Kyoto University (1931). He retired (1946) and became professor of Kyoto Women's College. Author of "History of Greek Literature," "History of Latin Literature," Greek Grammar," etc.
