After serving as assistant professor of the same university (1923), appointed professor (1930). Since then, for 25 years taught metallurgy at the university, and retired (1955). Appointed emeritus professor. While at the university, rendered a number of researches concerning aluminum alloy, titanium alloy and high-frequency surface tempering. Hideo Nishimura received his doctorate (1927).
