He graduated from Tokyo University in 1909.
Career
He became professor of 5th Higher School in Kumamoto in 1914. He studied zoology in England and America.
After returning home he was appointed professor of Kyushu University in 1922. He received degree of Doctor of Science in 1924. He assumed additional post as professor of Tokyo University in 1928. He retired under age limit in 1956. He was an author of "Study of Barnacles of Ships," "Elements of Genealogical Zoology" and "Outline of Genetics."
