Hsin Sheng Tsay, Chinese agronomist, researcher, plant tissue culturist. Named one of Ten Outstanding Young Men of the Country, Junior Chamber of Commerce International, Outstanding Researcher, National Sciences Council Republican of China, 1987, 89, 92, Special Invited Researcher, 1995.

Background

Tsay, Hsin Sheng was born on July 20, 1946 in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Son of Kun Pei and Pen Chu Tsay.

Bachelor of Science, National Chung-Hsing University University, Taiwan, 1968. Master of Science, Taiwan University, 1971. Doctor in Agronomy, Taiwan University, 1978.

Career

Agronomist Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute, Taichung, 1978-1981, senior agronomist, since 1981. Professor department agronomy Tunghai University, Taiwan, 1982-1988. Professor China Medical College, since 1986.

Professor department agronomy National Chang Hsin University, Taiwan, since 1986, National Dong Hwa University, Hwalien, Taiwan, since 1995. Department head agronomy, Taiwan Agricultural Research Institute, 1986-1989. Chairman International Association for Plant Tissue Culture, 1990-1994.

Group leader biotechnology division Department Agricultural and Forestry, Povincial Got. Taiwan, since 1996; national coordinator agricultural science National Science Council, since 1996.
