He graduated from the chemical branch, Chemical Industry Section, Engineering Department, Kyoto University (1926). Studied at Leipzig University and the Kaiser Wilhelm Chemical Institute during his stay in Germany (1929-1931).
Career
He was appointed instructor, assistant and professor of the Kyoto university (1935). He received his doctorate after returning from Germany. A top authority on chemical fibers, he succeeded in making vinylon on a commercial basis.
