After studying Suika-Shinto-ism and Shushi Gaku (doctrines of Chutzu) made research in Japanese classics and Shintoism under Shorin Kambayashi and then studied the classics under Norinaga Moto-ori (1289). Is the compiler of Siingo Hoten (dictionary of Shintoism) and Ruiju Nihongi (collection of ancient Japanese chronicles), and then edited and published the Kojiki. He also hand-wrote the Shomonki (record of Taira-no-Masakado), the original of which was lost.
