Inoue Chiyii graduated from Kyoto University (1930).
Career
Inoue Chiyii became instructor at Kyoto University (1935), professor at Third Higher School (1942), assistant professor at Kyoto University (1943). Since 1947 up to now professor at Kyoto University. Went to Germany for studies (1953). Presently counsellor for Society of History, counsellor for Historical Research Institute. Books include series of works on formation of world history such as "Studies on Economic History of Rome", "History of the Mediterranean World".
