Education
After graduating from Tokyo University (1905) proceeded to Germany for further studies (1912-1914).
Career
Returning home from studies Ishihara Shinobu was appointed instructor at Military Medical College, and then returned to his alma mater as professor (1922). Retired to become medical officer of the Ministry of Communications Hospital (1940). Director of Maebashi Medical College (1943-1946). Ishihara Shinobu was awarded the Academy (1941) and Asahi Bunkasho (1940) prizes for his research in Daltonism.
