Ivan Alexandrovich Kipriyanov was a mathematician, teacher and professor. The veteran of the Great Patriotic War. Specialist in the theory of functions, functional analysis and its application to partial differential equations, equations of mathematical physics. In mathematics, he is known for his theory of spaces (Kupriyanov’s spaces).
Education
Ivan Alexandrovich graduated from the Physics and Mathematics Faculty of the Chelyabinsk State Pedagogical Institute (now Chelyabinsk State Pedagogical University) (1949).
Career
In 1949-1951, Ivan Alexandrovich was a secondary school teacher in Chelyabinsk and in Alatyr (Chuvash Republic). In 1951-1954, a graduate student of Kazan State University. In 1954-1955, a senior lecturer in the Department of Higher Mathematics at the Kazan Aviation Institute (now Kazan National Research Technical University named after A.N. Tupolev). In 1955-1956, a senior professor in the Department of Higher Mathematics at the Chelyabinsk State Pedagogical Institute (now Chelyabinsk State Pedagogical University).
In 1956-1960, an associate professor in the Department of Higher Mathematics of the Voronezh State University of Forestry and Technologies. In 1960-1967, the head of the Department of Higher Mathematics at the Voronezh Technological Institute. Since 1967, was a professor, the head of the theory of functions and geometry dpartment (since 1972, Department of Differential Equations) (Voronezh State University).
