Before the Legislature and Appellate Court, won in the contest over the ablest clerical and legal talent of the State.
Assisted in obtaining additional endowment from Congress, 1890 and 1907, and from State Legislature, 1900, 1904, and 1908. President, Association of State Colleges and Universities in 1903.
