Career

Ordained ministry Christian (Disciples of Chirst) Church, 1902. Teacher Greek and history, Culver-Stockton College, 1906-1907. Pastor Boonville, Missouri, 1908-1918, during which time became widely known as prohibition advocate.

District superintendent missions, Disciples of Christ, 1918-1920.

Vice president Culver-Stockton College, 1920-1924. Associate secretary Department of Endowments, same church, 1924-1926.

President Cotner College, from January 1926.
