Background
Rossello-Mir, Jaume was born August 29, 1963 in Palma de Mallorca, Illes Balears, Spain. Son of Jaime Rossello Sastre, MDr., and Ana Mir Bosch.After obtaining his psychologist degree in 1988, he spent a formative period as a fellow research at the University of Bologna (Italy). Afterwards, he moved to the Autonomous University of Barcelona. He received his Ph.D. from the UIB (2001). His dissertation was awarded with special distinction by the University of the Balearic Islands and with a First Research Award by the City Council of Barcelona. He has published extensively in national and international journals with ISI impact factor (Thomson and Reuters), gaining recognition for eighteen years of international-quality research, i.e., three periods of 6 years on research work (sexenios) recognized by the Spanish committee for the assessment of the research action (CNEAI).Dr. Rosselló-Mir is a member of the staff of the Hu
man Evolution and Cognition Group (http://www.evocog.org/) (UIB-CSIC) since 2005. Nowadays, his research interests focus on affective processing and their influence on higher order cognition. Particularly, he is actively participating in several projects dealing with the effects of affective and sexual priming (conscious and nonconscious) on moral judgments, aesthetic preferences and decision making. He is also interested in the applied aspects of implicit measures and in the effects of emotional factors on cognitive performance and attitudes (human factors, affective ergonomics, branding).
