He studied (1799-1804) in Paris under Baillot, Kreutzer, and Catel.
After study in Paris he settled in Bruges as a teacher.
He was born July 6, 1799 and died in Boulogne, June 5, 1829.
Ancot finished his musical education at the Paris Conservatory under Pradher and Berton.
He was an accomplished pianist, in London 1823-25, and settled in Boulogne after making concert-tours through Belgium.
Being an astonishingly prolific composer he created 225 works, chiefly pianoforte-sonatas, a concerto, variations, etudes, fugues, 4-hand fantasias, also violin-concertos, etc.
He was born June 3, 1803 and died Bruges, 1836.
For a time he was pianist to the Duke of Sussex, London.
He made extended continental tours, taught at Boulogne and Tours, and finally returned to Bruges.
He created compositions of little value.
