Igor Mendeleevich Fainboim was born on the 20th of June, 1947 in Voronezh, Russian Federation.
Igor Mendeleevich graduated from the piano department of the Voronezh music school (1965, teacher B.C. Volkov). He started performing in the orchestra of the Palace of pioneers and schoolchildren (since 1963, under the leadership of B.L. Polevoy), organized the Quartet and performed (since 1965) in the cafe "Molodezhnoye" and "Rossiyanka". He was head of the ensemble of the Voronezh Technological Institute from 1964 to 1976.
Igor Mendeleevich was a musical director of the Voronezh Drama Theater (1970-s). He was a teacher of the jazz studio at the Kirov House of Culture (1982-1984).
Igor Mendeleevich collaborates with the orchestra led by V. Glagolev. He was a pianist and concertmaster of the Voronezh circus orchestra (1987-1997). In 1997 he performed at the Bluebird jazz club (New York, USA) and participated in the Jivisi festival (New York, USA). The author of music albums: "Laura" (1999), "Something has to change" (2002). He performed in Voronezh, "Feedback" and "Night Flight" clubs.
Igor Mendeleevich participated in the recording of V. Bocharov's music album "Goodbye, Kolyma", and the album of romances by O. Makeeva. The Creator of the musical ensemble "midnight jazz band "("Midnight Jazz").
