Director of architecture at the Ministry of the Environment and Mayor of Pontoise, since 1977. President of the public establishment of the 15th century museum, 1978-1981. Vice president of the General Council of Val-d’Oise, since 1982.

General Delegate of the Union for French Democracy, since 1983. Elected Union for French Democracy Deputy of Val-d’Oise, 1986, re-elected 1988.
