(When Barrett Overbrook arrived at the quaint B&B, she was...)
When Barrett Overbrook arrived at the quaint B&B, she was in an emotional tailspin. Her ex-fiancé had just married her twin sister, and Barrett could no longer deny that the betrayal had shattered her. Soon after checking into her room she fell into a surprisingly peaceful slumber. But by the next morning her life had changed forever... Columbus, Ohio, 1887 - Like lightning, Barrett awoke. She was still at the same B&B, but in its rustic charm it was now obviously a home. Everyone kept calling her Elizabeth, she was in excruciating pain, very pregnant, and very much in labor. The man at her feet informed her with more than a little resentment that he was her husband, but that he was NOT the father of the child he was delivering. Did her accursed guardian angel cause all of this? Was THIS the way he thought she could "fix" the loneliness in her life?

(Ty had heard her voice while photographing the beautiful ...)
Ty had heard her voice while photographing the beautiful Windsor Ruins, and then, amazingly, at sunset, he saw the ghostly home among the surviving columns. Just as he recovered from that shock, the owner of the voice calling his name stepped into view. After days of desperately trying to see the house again, he happened upon a portal to the real life post Civil War home, and Callen stood before him, calling him by name. How did she know his name? Why did he feel such a connection? Could he get back to his brother and be the only parent his brother knew, or was he trapped in time? Did he even want to go back? Falling in love with Callen only made his decision harder. But first, he had to find the portal again to see if he could even return to the 21st century.

Jenny Lykins told in her interview to "Smashwords" that she first started "writing" when she got married and moved to the Philippines. This was in the days before computers, email, or even cheap international phone calls. She would write epic length letters home, describing life in the Philippines, from having geckos (lizards) living in the house with them, to having to haul drinking water from the Air Force Base in ten gallon containers. People would say her "You write such great letters. Have you ever thought of doing anything with that?" Her reaction to that was, "What do you DO with letter writing?" It wasn't until her kids were teenagers and independent before she started writing books. Lykins started her first book with nothing more than a scene in her head, and she started writing it down just to get it out of her system. Jenny lives in west Tennessee with her husband.
