Career
Since 1998, Haft has been building companies on the front lines of China. He has overseen sourcing, contract manufacturing, and import/export programs between American and Chinese enterprises in a variety of manufacturing industries and agriculture. Haft currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of SafeSource Trading, an export firm that brokers sales of American agricultural products to China.
He lectures as an adjunct professor at Georgetown"s Walsh School of Foreign Service and McDonough School of Business, where he teaches classes on China entrepreneurship and trade.
Prior to his activities in China, Haft was a founding partner of SiteSpecific Incorporated, an internet advertising agency, ranked in the country"s top five by Forrester Research. The company was the subject of the first Harvard Business School Case Study on internet marketing, and served a roster of Fortune 500 clients.
Haft"s work there was recognized by industry awards, including the Clio, Cannes Lion, and Casie. The company was acquired by a Nasdaq-listed global marketing communications firm in 1997.
His analysis has also been featured in The Wall Street Journal, The Financial Times, National Public Radio, Cable News Network, Consumer News and Business Channel, and FOX among others
