Jianguo Xu, Chinese chemical engineer. Achievements include more than 100 patents worldwide; introduction of the concept of local thermodynamic efficiency for analysis in membrane separation; introduction of the concept of using mixing exergy for separation and other applications; contribution in modelling of gas-solid non-catalytic kinetics, kinetics of methane steam reforming, water-gas shift reaction and methanation.
