Jonas T. Holdeman attended Louisiana State University and earned a B.S. degree in Physics and an M.S. degree in Physics & Astronomy. He transferred to Case Institute of Technology where he earned a PhD. in Physics under Prof. R. M. Thaler.
Career
He served a two-year postdoctoral appointment at Los Alamos Scientific Lab, and for four years in the Physics Department at Michigan State University. He worked for two years as Assistant Professor in Physics at the University of Southwestern Louisiana, and then the rest of his professional career at Oak Ridge National Laboratory. Since retirement, he has pursued independent research in Computational Fluid Dynamics.
