Julia Samuel

Background

Julia Samuel is the daughter of James Guinness and his wife Pauline, née Mander.

Career

She is one of the seven godparents of Prince George of Cambridge. She works as a bereavement counsellor in the National Health Service paediatrics department of Street Mary"s Hospital, Paddington. They have four children.

Achievements

• She is Founder Patron and Trustee of Child Bereavement United Kingdom.

Membership

Samuel was appointed Member of the Order of the British Empire (Administration Member of the Order of the British Empire) in the 2016 New Year Honours for services to bereaved children.
